I'll have you read a text document for me. This document targets the most common mistakes non-native speakers make when trying to speak American-English.

As you read, I'll be taking notes. After you're done, I'll walk you through everything I noticed that makes you sound:

• unclear

• anxious / unsure

• foreign

This crucial step gives you the jumping off point for finally working on your accent so you stop missing out on social and financial opportunities because of the way you speak.

I call my teaching framework the UDS Method (Understand. Drill. Simulate). This simple yet powerful 3-step process is all you need to turn your unclear and unsure way of speaking into clear, confident American English.

Understand

It all starts with awareness. Both of your mistakes and how to do things correctly. We'll explain exactly what your mistakes are and how to fix them.

Drill

You need to turn what you now understand on a theoretical level into habits. The goal is to not even have to think about everything you've learned while you speak. In an ideal world, you just focus on what you're trying to communicate.

Simulate

Ever heard this quote? "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face."

If you only practice in controlled and easy environments, you'll never be able to maintain your clarity and accent in high-stakes situations. You need to pressure test what you've learned in the first two steps.
